Symmes Township will host a Fall Cleanup and Brush Drop Off at the Symmes Township Administration building on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

During that time, Township residents may bring items such as appliances, brush, car batteries, metal, motor oil, trash, and yard waste for disposal. All metal items including appliances will be recycled. Freon will be recovered from all air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators and freezers at a cost of $20 for each appliance (cash only, no checks). Brush will be chipped by the Township Service Department and made available to Township residents on a first come, first served basis. Tires will also be accepted at this cleanup for a fee (cash only, no checks):

 

Tire Fees

Regular tire $2.00

Regular tire on rim $4.00

Large tire (over 20") $8.00

Large tire on rim $15.00

Tractor tire $30.00

 

Participants will be asked to show proof of residency in the form of a driver's license and current utility bill.

 

For your information, the Township will NOT accept hazardous household waste such as paints, solvents, or other chemicals. These items may be deposited at designated recycling sites sponsored by Hamilton County Environmental Services.
